My Moon

Richard M. Ankers - Author

Oh, solitary moon
Slipping below ocean waves.
Celestial lantern doused;
Dream melting,
Pooling in obsidian,
Dissipating across,
Through,
And into tomorrow’s memory.
In my imagination
The moment never fades,
And never will.
In the place where fantasy
And freedom converge,
I shall always find you:
La Luna, my moon.
