Hay (na) ku sonnet

Jane Dougherty Writes

Now that Lori has discovered the name of this verse form and proved it isn’t just a figment of my imagination, I’ll post another Hay(na)ku sonnet.

You

Gave me

The first rose

 *

Plucked

At morning

Spangled with dew.

 *

I

Gave you

All my heart

 *

Enfolded

In petals

That never fade.

 *

River brims over

With spring joy.
