Crossing Eternity

Richard M. Ankers - Author

Moonlight glimmers

On a cobweb ocean,

Dewdrops and tears

My love gleams,

Dress so silvered;

She’s everything

And more.

Palm trees nod

In appreciation,

My mind blown away

By dark dreams.

If only reality, conjoined

With a wish,

Remained in the space

Of the heart.

But I don’t wake.

And I can’t wake.

And you kiss me:

Am I dead?

Let me be.

For if in death I am with you,

My life slipping through fingers

As diamond sands,

I should cross eternity
